Tess has been a civil litigation lawyer with Murphy Battista since 2022. Prior to joining, he proudly served his country and community, first as a paramedic with BC Ambulance Service, and then as a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
While with the RCMP, Tess honed his ability to work under pressure and remain flexible in dynamic events. He has been a member of the RCMP Emergency Response Team and a Unit Commander for BC RCMP Traffic Services.
He served overseas on two UN Peacekeeping Missions in South Sudan, focusing on human rights and building police capacity. He has investigated and prepared prosecutorial packages for a variety of cases including, but not limited to, fraud, complex drug offences, serious assaults, homicide, and serious or fatal motor vehicle collisions.
This background adds a unique perspective and skillset to Tess’ practice, which is focused on injury, insurance and medical malpractice.
When he is not working, Tess enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. His hobbies include golfing, cooking, and board games.
With his experience and background, Tess is extremely adept in difficult and pressure-filled situations, giving him a distinct advantage when advocating for his clients.
